Weekend DUI Checkpoint Update: 8/3 - 8/5
The City of Overland Park Police Department has announced that they will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol on Friday 8/3 starting at 10:00 p.m. running into Saturday 8/4 until 2:00 a.m.
A DUI saturation patrol isn't the same thing as a checkpoint, instead of an actual checkpoint they will have additional officers (usually 10 - 20) out looking specifically for people who show signs of impaired driving. If you do get stopped it's likely you will be asked to completefield sobriety testing on the scene, and potentially further testing to determine your B.A.C. if you show signs of impairment.
