According to reports the Kansas City police arrested 12 people for allegedly driving drunk (DUI) over this last weekend.
The drivers were arrested as part of a DUI checkpoint that operated from 11 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday, 2/25/12 - 2/26/12, at West 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri.
Police stopped 210 westbound vehicles during the DUI checkpoint.
Police also reported one person driving with a suspended license or revoked license, one other traffic ticket violation and one seat belt violation.
This occurred just West of the Power and Light District, on a busy busy night after the George Strait concert at Spring Center, and numerous College Basketball watching crowds were sure to be out. The police nabbed 12 out of 210 people stopped for DUI, comes out to about 5.6%.
