Kansas City DUI Checkpoint Update: 3/29/13 - 3/31/13
With the warm weather comes more and more DUI checkpoints from the local police departments. They already had an active weekend with St. Patrick's Day, and they aren't done yet. Here is what we have heard so far:
1. The City of Olathe Police Dept. and the Johnson County Sheriff's Dept. have announced they will be conducting a DUI checklane on Friday March 29th from 11:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. If you are suspected of being DUI they will likely ask you to perform Field Sobriety Tests, and possibly other chemical tests such as a PBT to try to estimate your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). During the course of this checkpoint they will also be looking for other issues such as Driving While Suspended.
2. Kansas City Missouri Police Dept. has announced they will be conducting a DUI checkpoint sometime between 3/29 and 3/31 in an area known for drunk driving related accidents.
As always we will update as we learn more.
