Kansas City Area DUI Checkpoint Update: 5/17/13 - 5/19/13
This weekend's going to be a hot one, and that means the police will be out in force. Here's what we know so far:
1. Mission Police Dept. has announced that they will be conducting a DUI Checkpoint with the assistance of the Johnson County Sheriff's Dept. on Friday May 17th, 2013. This checkpoint will run into early Saturday morning. They have not announced a location, but Shawnee Mission Pkwy & Nall has been a popular spot in the past.
2. The Kansas City Missouri Police Dept. has announced that they will also conduct a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location known for Drunk Driving related accidents, sometime this weekend.
If the police suspect a person is impaired they will ask them to perform field sobriety tests, and also other tests to help them to estimate a person's BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). Read our blog article on Field Sobriety Testing for more information.
