Kansas CIty Area DUI Checkpoint Update: 9/13/13 - 9/15/13
This weekend is going to be BUSY, the money grab by the Police Departments is in full swing, here is what we know so far:
1. The Overland Park Police Department has announced that they will be conducting a DUI checklane on Friday September 13th, 2013 along with the assistance of the Johnson County Sheriff's Dept. If suspected of being impaired it is likely they will ask to perform Field Sobriety Tests, and possibly further chemical testing such as breath tests to estimate BAC.
2. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department has announced that they will be conducting a DUI checkpoint sometime this weekend as well. They never give dates or locations, but around downtown is generally a hotspot.
3. The Independence, Missouri Police Department has also announced that they will be conducting a DUI checkpoint, and a DUI Saturation Patrol this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol means that there will be extra officers out specifically looking for signs of impaired driving to hand out DUI's.
