Josh Zarse
About
Josh is from Overland Park, Kansas, where he attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He later
attended college at the University of Central Missouri for his undergraduate degree in Criminal
Justice and Political Science. After college, he attended Creighton University School of Law in
Omaha, NE, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in the study of Law.
After obtaining his law degree, Josh started out prosecuting low-level felonies and staffing felony probation violation hearings in Douglas County, NE. Cases ranged from drug possession, domestic violence, and theft. After spending some time in Nebraska, Josh swore into Kansas and received his law license to practice in his home state. Josh prosecuted misdemeanor and traffic cases in Ellis County, KS, before practicing criminal defense in Shawnee County, KS. He was enabled to assist indigent persons facing serious felony charges, including Aggravated Domestic Battery, Felony Theft, Robbery, Possession, and Distribution of Marijuana. Josh also has some experience practicing family law and has appeared in dozens of trials in the context of prosecuting and defending protection order cases. He has even been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024. Throughout his time, Josh has acquired experience in the courtroom enhancing his trial skills. He has appeared in a number of jury trials for clients facing serious felony charges and obtained desirable results.
Josh is currently a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice law in all courts in Kansas.
